Is it really free to be listed?
Yes. Every business can be listed, claimed and kept up to date for free — hours, photos, services and all. Removing or correcting a listing is always free.
What does Featured mean?
Featured businesses appear at the top of their category in their city, marked “Sponsored”. There are at most 3 per category and their order rotates daily. Everyone else is listed below in the same fair order — we never sell or change that order.
Does Featured get me to the top of Google?
No one can promise that. Featured puts you at the top of BC Locals. BC Locals is new and growing every week, and your listing page can appear in search engines like any other page.
Will my founding price go up?
No. The first 100 Featured businesses keep $49 a year for as long as their plan stays active. New businesses after that pay $99 a year.
What if my category is full?
If all 3 Featured spots in your category and city are taken, we’ll put you on the waitlist and email you when a spot opens.
Can I change or cancel?
Yes — email hello@bclocals.ca and we’ll take care of it. Featured renews each year; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the year you’ve paid for. New plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee.
How do I pay?
Securely by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. We never see your card number.
Are taxes included?
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Any taxes are shown before you pay.
